A theatre show performed in Englishwith a dinamic, juvenile, energetic and interactive style. It’s composed of prose, immages and videos .
It’s the first show in history where the use of smartphones is mandatory.
The story is easy to understand and tells about the adventures of a boy and a girl completely addicted to social netwoks. They spend their time staring at tablet, mobile and computer screens, forgetting about real life. They live reality through photos, videos, tags, likes and become frustrated when the comunity doesn’t share their posts or doesn’t like their selfies. They don’t pursue their studies, they stay indoors, they obsessively chat without realising that they are actually lonely.
Our ambitious target is making the youth understand that meeting friends in person or writing a letter with pen and paper to a close friend and waiting until it reaches him isso much better than the cheap emotions they can find on internet.
Social network addiction is more and more polarised. This phenomenon is being studied by sociologist and other scientists because, although people are extremely connected, they’re actually growing apart . Our protagonists will try to break through the screen, in order to experience the sensation of holding hands and making eye contact.
Will they be succeed in a reality where human contact appears to be so complicated? Maybe they will understand that technology can’t provide them with the taste of a real kiss.
This show is peculiar because the interaction with the audience in the stalls takes place thanks to their own smartphones connected to the Wi-Fi. The message of “Social Network” is reminding young audience some basic rules concerning the responsable use of this amazing communication device.
The show is designed to present a different difficulty level according to the students capabilities.
