A theatre show performed in English with a dynamic, young, energetic and interactive style. It’s composed by prose, images and videos.
Shakespeare has always been considered one of the most complex and multifaceted authors in world theatre history. Although this may be true, his creations are still relevant thanks not only to theatre but also to other modern arts such as cinema, music and comics. What could it happen if one of his characters or even the Author himself lived in the smartphone era?
That’s what it is! William is Back! And in order to be popular among young people as he was in his days, he will impersonate a wild DJ.
Shakespearian works are redifined for our times and are made more ironic and catchy using young people language, with the purpose to help them to understand that the world Shakespeare wrote about is not so far from ours and that his plays can explain needs, beliefs and doubts of the contemporary world.
Let the “theme party” start! With the help of dance music atmosphere will change and shakesperian most important tragedies and comedies will come back to life in the “ball room”.
In this surreal atmosphere, William, with Desdemona, Juliet, the Lovers, Hamlet, Mercutio, Iago and Richard the 3rd will give birth to a dancing tale in order to make the audience partecipate to the craziest party of English literature ever.
In this peculiar play students will have the chance to go on stage to chat with William and to dance with the rest of the audience to the original song “To be or no to be that’s the question”. The show is going to debut on February, 2019. Educational material and the trailer are not avalaible yet.
